What this family is
Self-mating tape blends hook and loop elements on a single face, so any two pieces engage regardless of which way they are presented. That eliminates an entire class of assembly error and keeps the profile low and soft.
It is a light-duty material. Where high peel strength is required, standard hook-to-loop is still the correct answer, and we will say so rather than let a sample fail in the field.
